Amazon account suspended for Poor selling performance

I have started to sell on Amazon around four months ago. I am pretty new to the whole e-commerce thing and selling online.

I have watched many YouTube videos how to make money with drop shipping on Amazon. It all looks pretty straightforward until Amazon suspends your account for poor selling performance.

So here is what happened, I used Aliexpress to drop ship goods directly from China to my customers in the US. It all seemed so easy. However, at the end didn’t work out for me.

One of the biggest issues is that items just need around 2 to 3 weeks from China until they arrive and the US. For all my Amazon listings I clearly stated that the delivery time for my products. However, some buyers didn’t seem to have read the product description.

So what happened is that many clients started to leave negative feedback and also open chargebacks because they did not receive the goods in time.

I have to admit, having my Amazon account suspended for poor seller performance only after four months starting out on Amazon is very frustrating. I believe that Amazon has treated me unfairly because they should have to give me some warning or chance to improve my seller performance. I did receive some warnings in my seller account control panel  in the  last couple of weeks, but I wasn’t aware that this situation was that serious.

Making money online and selling on Amazon was my way to escape the 9-to-5 slavery. The last month before Amazon suspended my account really started to make some serious money and I also quit my job to serve on the Amazon business exclusively.

Now I have lost my Amazon account and I also don’t have a job anymore. I tried everything to get back selling on Amazon. I sent them several appeal letters, I called Amazon at least 40 to 50 times over the last weeks. I tried to talk to somebody who actually has any power to reinstate my selling privileges without any success.

I also tried to open several new Amazon accounts, however, they seem to be able to link my old account (suspended for poor selling performances) with every new account I open. I even bought a new computer and tried to open and your Amazon account, again with the same result.

I tried my luck on eBay as I thought that maybe eBay could substitute Amazon for selling online. I was able to sell some items on eBay. However, the issue is that the listing fees final value fees etc. eat away all profit.

Selling on eBay is like running a business in a market where the rent is so expensive that you are not left with any profit whatsoever. So after a couple of weeks and I decided to stop selling on eBay because it doesn’t make any sense.

I believe that Amazon rightfully suspended my account for Poor selling performance. However, they  should give me a chance to learn from my mistakes and improve my performance.

If you had your Amazon or eBay account suspended, please share your story with us so we can learn from each other.
